WILDWING SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

  1. -‘RIDING THE DRAGON’

  2. -a SHAMANIC CREATIVITY COACHING group

This small coaching group offers a unique,exciting and safe opportunity to deepen shamanic practice and work specifically with issues around creativity and creating.

At the core of this group we will be working with shamanic journeying to support, nurture, celebrate, deepen and honour our creativity and our personal creative projects. Coaching techniques and stimulating coaching exercises will complement this exploration and will help us integrate the wisdom, help, healing and advise we receive through the shamanic journey. There will also be space to directly work on a particular individual project of any medium throughout the course of the group.

A typical session might include a brief check in, a shamanic journey and drawing out of the teaching from the journey; a coaching exercise and/or some time to work on a personal creative project, as well as time to share and reflect.

Besides themes such as time-management, motivation, balance etc we will look at:

•how to work with possible obstacle and overcome or heal these, enlisting the support of our spirit helpers;

•a journey to connect with the spirit of our creativity;

•Finding tools to keep our creating firmly and regularly rooted in our everyday lives;

•Journeys to the spirit of a particular project to ask for guidance, help and support;

•Blessing journey for a particular creative project;

•Journey to a particular creation (drawing, sculpture, writing etc) to connect with its deeper meaning.

Dear Creative Traveller!

You might wonder about the little toy-tiger in my collage with a red thread wrapped around its neck. Well, on my recent visit to Zuerich to perform ‘Red Crossing’, I had the joy to meet my parents on the Muenster bridge who had come from Stuttgart to see what I was up to. In the evening over a meal my dad pulled out the little tiger- it had been one of my very first toys, I think I received it when I was about one year old.  I laughed about the red thread wrapped around it’s neck:

‘ nice idea to theme it with my performance!’ He looked at me blankly, then at the tiger and said he had never noticed the thread and for sure not adorned the tiger with it! Nor had my mum. So, there was my tiger handed back to me  through time, complete with a red thread which none of us had any idea where it came from...how strange and wonderful! It made me think about how far back some of our ‘red threads’- the themes, ideas, ‘through-lines’, inspirations and important things that run through our lives- go. When did our love for painting start? What made us pick up a pen and write in the first place? I remember as a girl thinking about how much wool

one would need to walk from my house to the school in the other part

of town, how big the ball of wool would need to be. These days I am

pondering over such calculations sometimes for a performance

and I am working on a really big red ball of wool...

Guess I’m just following the thread...

It can be thrilling to re-connect with sources of inspiration, to pick up the thread of an old or new project and dig deeply into our imagination and creativity.

For me the combination of creating, coaching and shamanic practice has been a very potent one, hence more and more of my work combines now coaching and shamanic practice, be it on Retreats or in my WILDWING- practice .

It can be very powerful, exhilerating and inspiring to take out time for oneself and experience creative retreats and I am thrilled to offer for the second year the
Shamanic Creativity Autumn Retreat at Tilton house near Firle,

‘DANCING WITH THE ANCESTORS’. (www.tiltonhouse.co.uk)

Retreats allow us to refresh and look deeply inside ourselves, make important steps forward and connect powerfully with our creative source.

The challenge afterwards is to sustain the teachings we have gained and stay committed to the steps we have started to take. Deep changes and transformations often need time and further attention to fully develop and come to fruition and sometimes we might struggle despite good will and the commitments we have made to ourselves, to create and protect space in our busy lives: we might lose focus, motivation or

indeed meaning amongst the many fold tasks we are pursuing.

Bearing this in mind I am excited to offer a second small

SHAMANIC CREATIVITY COACHING GROUP- RIDING THE DRAGON,

which previous participants have found a great support,

especially after attending a retreat.

As the wheel of the year is turning I am also now offering a new mentoring programme:
