'JOURNEY INTO THE WILD CENTRE OF
CREATIVITY'-
on-going Creativity Coaching groups
Whether you are at the beginning path of
connecting or re-connecting with your creativity
or a seasoned artist, Creativity Coaching can support
you in various ways: exploring and unblocking obstacles
and patterns that might hinder you in fulfilling your
creative dreams, addressing practical, existential or
spiritual issues and celebrating your achievements.
These small groups offer a supportive and nurturing environment to work with hands-on creative exercises, space to create and time to address issues that might stand in the way of fulfilling your creative potential, such as procrastination, burn-out, loss of meaning etc.
Every session will include some creative and stimulating exercises, such as free- writing, mapping, collage, drawing, clay as well as time for discussion, exchange and actual creating time . We look at issues such as time-management, balance, how to avoid burn-out, strategies for regular creating etc. and you are encouraged to commit to individual ‘homework’ in between sessions. The groups are on-going and a commitment for ten weeks initially is essential.
No artistic skills are needed only a willingness to work within a group and use creative media!
The groups are running weekly @ WILDWING at BLANK studios, Portslade/ Brighton
with a maximum of 6 participants each.
MORNING GROUP ON TUESDAY starts soon!
Cost: £150 for 10 sessions.

Hi there and happy spring!!
Above some impressions from my ‘Fire Song of the Heart’ Shamanic Creativity Retreat, which I ran over the Bank Holiday weekend at the gorgeous Tilton house, near Firle. We had an absolutely amazing time immersed in nature, shamanic song , fire ritual and creating!
The next Shamanic Creativity retreat is the ‘MASK OF POWER’ summer retreat from 31st of July- 3rd of August on the Cornish west coast. This three-night retreat at CHYMORGEN allows much time for shamanic and creative exploration, Mask work and ritual as well as time to explore many close-by ancient stone sites, walks on the coast path and enjoy the beautiful house. This will be a small group, so please book early to avoid disappointment! see below and www.chymorgen.co.uk (check out their lovely photo show!)
I am also very excited to announce the first ‘RIDING THE DRAGON’- Shamanic Creativity Coaching group. It will run initially for five sessions at WILDWING- for anyone who would like to dive more deeply into their creativity through shamanic practice! ( This group has only 4 places!)
After a very successful 10-week Creativity Coaching group, I will start a new
daytime Coaching group (Tuesdays 11.30-1pm). If you always wanted to finish that project, start that novel, find more confidence, create balance or beat that gremlin perfectionism, here is another chance to join us on an exciting journey!
If you have missed my intro to mask work, I will be running a one day ‘Introduction to Therapeutic Mask work’ course in London on the 4th of July!
I am also planning a mid-week non-residential two-day introduction to Shamanism at Tilton house for August- please contact me if you are interested for more info- and the ‘DANCING WITH THE ANCESTORS’ retreat will happen in October.
For a chance to see WILDWING, have an informal chat, meet the other artists at BLANK studios and gallery, have tea and cake and experience some sound art come to BLANK OPEN STUDIOS on 9th and 10th of May (info see below) Would be lovely to see you there!!!!
Have a fabulous MAY!!! Warm wishes! Eva
‘MASK OF POWER’- a SHAMANIC CREATIVITY RETREAT
for women at Chymorgen, Cornwall
from 31st of July- 3rd of August 09 (Lammas)
This three-night retreat will be a real treat!
It offers a safe and exciting space to dive fully into the centre of our
creativity to celebrate our unique expressions through the ancient
practice of the shamanic journey, mask- work, ritual , voice and song,
other creative media such as collage, writing, clay and especially
working closely with and in nature.
The ‘MASK OF POWER’ Creativity retreat will particularly focus on mask-work as a way to strengthen us in our creative expression and personal power and to connect deeply with our creativity and our spirit helpers.
We will be working with the special celebratory energy of the
Lammas summer festival to support and nurture our journey to
•strengthen the connection to our creative power;
•sensitively work with possible obstacles and hesitations we might encounter;
•explore tools to ground creativity in our lives and establish daily practice;
•make space to honour, celebrate and affirm our unique creative talents and expressions within a circle of women.
On this retreat shamanic journeys will be at the core of our exploration and will guide us in this process. The journeys may include a journey to the ‘spirit of our creativity’ to enquire how we can connect more deeply with our creative dreams and ambitions; how to deal with possible obstacles and a journey to find a daily ritual to honour our creativity and to create our ‘mask of power’.
We will go on a ‘walk with intention’ and there will be space and free time to enjoy the beautiful environment in and around Chymorgen which is only ten minutes from the gorgeous coastal path with stunning views and many ancient stone circles nearby.
This retreat can be booked on its own or together with the ‘Dancing with the Ancestors’ retreat at Tilton house on 30th of October-1st of Nov.
No prior experience in mask work nor any artistic skills are necessary, only an openness to explore your own creative potential. An introduction to shamanic journeying is given, however some previous experience in shamanic work is helpful as the retreats are not primarily in-depth introduction to shamanic practice and I recommend that you book a shamanic session with me before. Please enquire!

The Other Face-
an Introduction to Mask-Work
at BAAT office- THE BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF
ART THERAPISTS
24-27 WHITE LION STREET, LONDON N1 9PD
Saturday 4th July 2009– Time: 10.00 am to 4.00pm
This workshop is both experiential and theoretical and gives participants an introduction into the potential of mask-work in therapy and self-development. Masks have fascinated people for thousands of years- from the use of masks in shamanism, carnival to theatre and therapy, masks have been recognised as potent objects of transformation, play and healing. Mask-work facilitates a powerful and playful way to explore aspects of the self, look behind the ‘masks of everyday life’ and to work effectively with issues of identity and authenticity. Masks invite us to connect or re-connect with our creativity and with parts of ourselves that have been lying hidden, dormant or forgotten: facets that might want to be recognised, brought to light and ‘show their faces’.
An overview over the origin of masks and the historical, anthropological, spiritual and creative use of masks will be given and the use of masks with a variety of clients will be presented. This includes case material from various projects, including work with women affected by HIV and AIDS, Personality Disorder, long-term and enduring Mental Health problems and within self-development. The workshop will give opportunity for discussion and various mask-making techniques can be explored such as creating masks from clay, natural and everyday /’junk’ materials. Different ways of connecting with the made masks and ways to ‘get into’ or ‘behind the mask’ will be introduced. We will look at work with
masks in the framework of therapy, counselling and self-development, its varied uses and possible dangers and limitations.
The workshop does not require any previous experience of working with masks
or any artistic experience.
This day is suitable for anyone interested in mask-work. This could be in
regards to self-development or an interest in the application of mask-work with
a particular client group. The workshop is particularly suitable for Arts Therapists (Music-, Dance-Movement-, Drama- or Art Therapists), Counsellors,
Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Social workers or those in training for any
of the above professions

Employer – funded: £140 Self-funded Full Time Employed: £100,
Self-funded Part Time Employed (2.5 days or less): £80 Trainee/Unemployed: £40
Journey into the Wild Centre of Creativity-
‘RIDING THE DRAGON’
- a SHAMANIC CREATIVITY COACHING group
This small coaching group offers a unique and safe opportunity to deepen shamanic practice and work specifically with issues around creativity and creating.
At the core of this group we will be working with shamanic journeying to support, nurture, celebrate, deepen and honour our creativity and our personal creative projects. Coaching techniques and stimulating exercises will complement this exploration and will help us integrate the wisdom, help, healing and advise we receive through the shamanic journey. There will also be space to directly work on a particular individual project of any medium throughout the course of the group.
A typical session might include a brief check in, a shamanic journey and drawing out of the teaching from the journey; a coaching exercise and/or some time to work on a personal creative project, as well as time to share and reflect.
Besides themes such as time-management, motivation, balance etc we will look at:
•how to work with possible obstacle and overcome or heal these, enlisting the support of our spirit helpers;
•a journey to connect with the spirit of our creativity;
•Finding tools to keep our creating firmly and regularly rooted in our everyday lives;
•Journeys to the spirit of a particular project to ask for guidance, help and support;
•Blessing journey for a particular creative project;
•Journey to a particular creation (drawing, sculpture, writing etc) to connect with its deeper meaning.
The group is open to anyone with some experience in core- shamanic practice and a commitment to work on her/his creativity. If you are interested but have no shamanic experience as yet, please get in touch. It is possible to book a few individual Shamanic Counselling sessions in beforehand.
