offers workshops that creatively explore the experiences of being lesbian, gay, bisexual

and transgender.

We recognise that Counselling and Therapies have typically ignored or pathologised

LGBT people and we seek to redress this through offering a safe, creative and affirmative space

for self exploration, development and sharing experiences.

Workshops include elements of group discussion, working with creative media

such as Mask work, writing and Creativity Coaching exercises

I have just returned from a short break on a gorgeous German island called Amrum. Talking about widen the horizon... nothing but horizon, wind, long stretching beaches of fine white sand, dramatic lighting with occasional showers followed by gorgeous sunshine- and nowhere have I seen such tame birds !

And one can watch it all from the comfort of one of the fantastic ‘Strandkoerbe’- ‘beach baskets’ would be the direct translation- snuggly, sheltered seats complete with with foot rest, small food tables and backs that can be adapted to various degrees to accommodate sunning, reading, relaxing or offer shelter should one get caught in a thunder storm! When will we get them over here? They are fab!

I find time to widen our horizon crucial, to send up a kite high into the sky and get a bird perspective on our lives, to just stroll, pick up the occasional shell, let things settle and a sense of adventure re-awaken, a kernel of a new creative project show itself or a new direction unfold..

I guess the challenge is to keep a sense of this wide space and expanse close in one’s everyday life.
